One floor below Ah Ma, Mdm Lakshmi slips in her kitchen. Her watch asks “Are you OK?”. If she doesn't tap “I'm OK” within 15 seconds, it asks the family for help.
Fall detection is best-effort: a dropped watch can set it off, and a slow slide to the floor can be missed.

Her son Arjun is at work in town. His phone, and every phone in the family, gets the alert at once: “Amma may have fallen” (Amma is the name the family gave her in the app). It keeps ringing until someone says “I'm on it”.

The companion keeps a few short facts from each chat, so the next one feels familiar. The family can switch that off, and the family member who set up Memowrist can clear what it remembers at any time. Memowrist doesn't keep recordings of chats.

The watch and the phone app speak English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu and Tamil. Each person picks their own: Ah Ma can hear Tamil while Jasmine reads English.
